Hybrid Veneers: The Process
Our Hybrid veneers treatment consists of 3 main steps; the initial consultation, trial smile and the final smile application. Resulting in a smile you are proud of.
Step 1: Initial Consultation
Your journey starts with a thorough consultation with our experienced and friendly cosmetic dentist. During this visit, we encourage you to share all your smile concerns and goals. Our experienced dentist will perform a comprehensive dental assessment of your mouth and smile, also evaluating your speech and bite to ensure the final result is both aesthetic and functional.
This consultation allows us to gather detailed information and understand your vision to turn it into reality. Based on this, a personalised treatment plan will be developed for you.
Step 2: Trial Smile
At this stage, your dream smile begins to take shape. The smile design process starts, and your dentist will apply temporary veneers to your teeth. This allows you to test your new smile and assess the shape, size, colour, and overall feel.
At Dental Boutique™, We will, of course, guide you through this process, taking on your feedback and helping you realise your vision. We will take a scan, and the crafting of your hybrid veneers will commence in the lab.
Step 3: Final Smile Application
Once your hybrid veneers are ready, we will carefully remove the temporary ones and start the process of cementing your final veneers. You will have the chance to review the veneers before they are bonded to your teeth.
Once you and our team are satisfied with the appearance and fit, we will clean your teeth with a special dental cleanser and prepare them for veneer application. Finally, you’ll leave with a smile you can be proud of.
The difference between Hybrid, Porcelain, and Composite Veneers
Hybrid Veneers have become increasingly popular, however, let’s explore how they compare to traditional Porcelain Veneers and Composite Veneers.
Hybrid Veneers are a blend, containing approximately 70% porcelain material. They are a thin material that covers your tooth surface, custom-made prior in our dental lab over roughly 2 weeks. Very similar to traditional porcelain veneers in the fact the process is also completed over a few visits. This differs from Composite veneers which are typically done in just one visit. Your dentist will apply and shape bonding material directly to the tooth.
When comparing the strength, durability, and longevity of Hybrid Veneers against Composite and Porcelain Veneers, as most likely assumed, they sit in between. Lasting approximately 8-10 years +.

We will be able to thoroughly examine your teeth and discuss both your concerns and goals to assess if hybrid veneers are best for you. However, they can be a great cost-effective veneer option that still offers a great aesthetic outcome.
We understand this is a very common concern around veneers and also a very big misconception. At Dental Boutique™ we have the most advanced technology and a highly skilled team, where we prioritise minimal preparation where possible. However, depending on your current smile, in some cases, some preparation may be required to allow a stable surface for the veneer to be cemented on.
With proper care and maintenance of your veneers, the lifespan of Hybrid Veneers is approximately 8-10+ years.
Once your hybrid veneers are cemented on, they will act and feel like normal teeth. Therefore taking care of your veneers will be very similar and will require you to continue brushing your teeth twice daily, floss and ensure you are visiting the dentist every 6 months for your checkup and clean.
Many of our patients who get hybrid veneers may also look at our Invisalign treatment to align their teeth prior. As well as Teeth Whitening to ensure a seamless match between their veneers and regular teeth.
